This website is owned and operated by AFRICAMINIATURETOURS and all transactions on this website are subject to the master agreement for AFRICAMINIATURETOURS Terms and Conditions outlined below. For all tours where specific Terms & Conditions are not mentioned with the tour, the following Payment Terms and Cancellation Fees will apply:
PAYMENT TERMS
(i) 25% at the time of booking
(ii) 75% or balance no later than 65 days prior to date of the first service sold by AFRICAMINIATURETOURS.
CANCELLATION FEES:
For all other reservations (including all tours, hotel reservations, ground services, trains not mentioned, etc., except airline reservations):
(i) 25% of the total tour value if cancelled more than 65 days prior to date of first service sold by AFRICAMINIATURETOURS.
(ii) 100% of the total tour value if cancelled less than 65 days prior to date of first service sold by AFRICAMINIATURETOURS.
CANCELLATION BY CAMTOURVENTURES:
The Company reserves the right to cancel a tour in any circumstances but will not cancel a tour less than 42 days before departure, except for Force Majeure, Low Bookings or the Client’s failure to pay the final balance. Unless the Client fails to pay the final balance, the Company will, upon cancellation, return all monies paid excluding payment for travel insurance or offer an alternative tour of comparable standard. No compensation will be paid to the Client if cancellation is because of Force Majeure or Low Bookings.
For Airline Reservations
PAYMENT TERMS:
(i) 100% at the time of booking All airline tickets may be paid by check drawn on a U.S. bank or wire transfer. Please contact us for alternative payment methods. All payments received by wire transfer must include fee of $30.00 to cover bank transfer fees. Airline tickets issued on a special / reduced fare may incur an additional service fee. All physical airline tickets (i.e. non-electronic tickets) will require shipment by mail/courier, and the shipping fee for airline tickets will be charged back to the passenger.
AIR TICKET CANCELLATION / AIR TICKET CHANGE Fees:
An air ticket cancellation / air ticket change Fees of minimum $50.00 per ticket is charged by AFRICAMINIATURETOURS for any changes to the airline reservation or ticket required after the ticket is issued by the ticketing agency. Other Fees may also apply and these vary by ticketing agency, fare category, and airline. Specific cancellation terms & stamp; Fees are available upon request. Refunds for cancelled airline tickets are not guaranteed and are at the sole discretion of the ticketing agency and/or airlines used and are dependent on fare category.
TERMS FOR ALL TOURS / RESERVATIONS:
If the balance payment for booking is not made per the schedule above for ANY reason, reservations are treated as cancelled without possibility of any refund. The bookings for train tours are taken on the rates valid at the time of reservation and may change at the time of departure. In case of increase in tariff at the time of travel, the new tariff will be applicable and billed back to the passenger. Payment of deposit against any tour(s) or reservation(s) does not imply rendering of any service and no services will be provided based solely upon this deposit. Payment of deposit guarantees rendering of purchased services once full payment has been received in full by AFRICAMINIATURETOURS as per the above Terms and Conditions. All reservations are non-transferable under any circumstances. All reservations are subject to cancellation without notice if payment terms are not adhered to. In such a case, no refunds (partial or full) are due back to the passenger.
NOTE ABOUT PAYMENT TERMS FOR ALL TOURS / RESERVATIONS:
Payments are accepted via major credit card, bank transfer, or check drawn on a U.S. bank. Credit card payments which are declined by the payee’s bank/creditor two (2) or more times are subject to a $30.00 transaction failure fee on the second and each subsequent failed attempt. All payments received by wire transfer must include fee of $30.00 to cover bank transfer fees. All airline tickets may be paid by check drawn on a U.S. bank or wire transfer. Please contact us for alternative payment methods. It is the payee’s responsibility to inform his/her bank or creditor of the intent of AFRICAMINIATURETOURS to draw funds from his/her account and to ensure that sufficient funds are available. See the Schedule of Additional Fees for additional fees that may be associated with your tour / reservation.
NOTE ABOUT CANCELLATION FOR ALL TOURS / RESERVATIONS:
Because of the special nature of the programs, suppliers impose rigid cancellation fees; Any cancellation fees required by the supplier will be informed to the passenger within 30 days of the cancellation. Note: ALL cancellations must be received by AFRICAMINIATURETOURS in writing; cancellation/s will be effective when the copy is received by AFRICAMINIATURETOURS , regardless of the date in which it is sent by the canceling party. To protect against cancellation charges, we strongly recommend purchasing Trip Cancellation Protection and Travel Interruption Insurance (see Insurance clause).
CHANGE OF DATE/OCCUPANCY/NAME/SCHEDULE:
(not including changes to itinerary) WITHIN SAME TRAVEL SEASON may be possible if requested up to 65 days prior to the first scheduled service of the tour. For certain tours, change of date/name/occupancy/schedule will NOT be possible. No changes will be permitted within 65 days of the first scheduled service; any requests for such are not guaranteed and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Change of date/occupancy/name/schedule is subject to availability and at the sole discretion of AFRICAMINIATURETOURS.
Downgrade in occupancy after the deposit payment is collected (i.e. reducing the number of travelers) is considered a cancellation of the full tour and is subject to the cancellation fees associated with your tour / reservation. Any fees associated with change of date/occupancy/name/schedule will be informed to the passenger before any changes are made by AFRICAMINIATURETOURS. See the Schedule of Additional Fees for other fees that may be associated with your tour / reservation. Fees associated with change of date/occupancy/name/schedule do NOT cover the cost of change to airline tickets used in the tour. Cost of airline tickets changes are additional and will be billed back to the passenger and all bills should be settled at least 30 days prior to first service sold by AFRICAMINIATURETOURS otherwise the entire tour or portions thereof can be cancelled without notice to the passenger and AFRICAMINIATURETOURS will not be liable to pay any refunds or liabilities implied or direct to the passenger due to lapse in service.
PRICES, RATES & FARES
Unless otherwise indicated all prices / rates shown are in United States Dollars or Euro , Pounds. AFRICAMINIATURETOURS upon request will disclose the exchange rate being used for your tour.AFRICAMINIATURETOURS reserves the right to apply a currency surcharge if needed before accepting the final payment of the tour. Clients may have the option to lock in the rates for the tour in such circumstances by paying for the tour in full at the rates applicable at the time of payment. Please contact our customer service department for details.
AFRICAMINIATURETOURS reserves the right to increase tour prices to cover increased costs of tariffs and taxes. International airfares (if shown) are from the gateway cities of DOUALA or YAOUNDE and should be used as a guideline only. Best available airfares will be quoted, applicable at time of departure, based on individual gateways for the complete air itinerary.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
All passengers must be in possession of a valid passport; its validity must be for six (6) months beyond the re-entry date into the passenger’s home country. A visa or visas may be required for some or all of the countries visited on the tour selected. Please check your visa requirements at time of booking. It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure that all his or her visa and passport requirements are met.
TOUR INFORMATION & DOCUMENTS
Acknowledgement of booking will be sent immediately upon initiation of a reservation. Final tour documents consisting of detailed tour itinerary, tour vouchers, hotel vouchers, airline electronic ticket (“e-ticket”) copies etc. as applicable are dispatched electronically from our offices approximately 21–30 days prior to departure. If documents are required or requested for earlier delivery, and/or for delivery of hard copies of the documents by mail/courier outside of the contiguous Cameroon, a fee of $50.00 will apply to cover extra handling and processing. All physical airline tickets (i.e. non- e-tickets) will require shipment by mail/courier, and the shipping fee for airline tickets will be charged back to the passenger. All shipping charges may be paid by check drawn on a wire transfer or credit card. All shipping charges paid by credit card will incur a $10.00 processing fee above the total shipping invoice. All payments received by wire transfer must include fee of $30.00 to cover bank transfer fees.
UNUSED TOUR ITEMS
No refund will be made for any unused accommodations, missed meals, transportation segments, cruise portions, sightseeing tours or any other unused service. Such unused items are neither refundable nor exchangeable (no exceptions).
INSURANCE
AFRICAMINIATURETOURS strongly recommends purchasing travel insurance that protects you and your investment in the event of a sudden emergency before or during your trip and coverage for trip cancellation or interruption, illness, injury, and damage, loss or theft of baggage, as well as emergency assistance. Travel insurance can be purchased through AFRICAMINIATURETOURS. AFRICAMINIATURETOURS is proud to offer insurance plans. Plans available vary by country and state of residency; please contact AFRICAMINIATURETOURSfor more information.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
If you have any medical condition or allergy that may interfere with your trip, you are required to complete a “Medical Waiver” and your physician must certify that you are fit to travel. Failure to complete and return this waiver to AFRICAMINIATURETOURS may result in cancellation of your tour without a refund. In absence of a waiver, AFRICAMINIATURETOURS deems that you are fit to travel.
YOUR TOUR PRICE INCLUDES
ACCOMMODATIONS
Accommodations, if specified in the itinerary, will be provided on a double occupancy basis at deluxe or first-class hotels. Rooms will be assigned by the respective supplier/s on a run-of-the-house basis, in category/ies as specified in the itinerary. In the rare cases where deluxe properties do not exist, best available (this term may be defined by the hospitality industry in the region providing such accommodation or by trade custom) accommodation/lodging will be used exclusively. All per person rates are based on double occupancy of the respective accommodation units as described above. If the client is not able to fit in the accommodation provided due to physical limitations, they will be required to purchase additional accommodation on site directly from the Vendors or AFRICAMINIATURETOURSat full published cost. Palace Tours is not responsible for any refunds / alterations in the accommodations.
SIGHTSEEING & LAND TOUR SERVICES
The following services, if specified in the itinerary, are included in your tour price: transportation between the airports and hotels, baggage handling, sightseeing with English-speaking guides as mentioned in the itinerary. Sightseeing will be via motor coach, private car and other modes of transportation (air conditioned where necessary and available), as determined by the nature of the terrain and as outlined in the itinerary.
SPECIAL ENTERTAINMENT
Cultural entertainment events, gala evenings and/or festivals are included.
AIRLINE CLAUSE
The airline(s) used in conjunction with tours provided by AFRICAMINIATURETOURS is not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passenger/s is not/are not onboard their aircraft. The passenger tickets in use by the airline, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and passenger/s. Airfares, where used, are current at the time of printing of this document and are subject to change without notice. Passengers are required to check with the airline directly at least 72 hours prior to departure in order to reconfirm tickets and seat assignments.
LUGGAGE
Luggage arrangements, if specified in the itinerary, include transportation and transfer of two standard sized suitcases per person.
TOUR PRICE EXCLUSIONS
Your tour price does not include: Air transportation (unless specifically stated as included); costs and fees to obtain or extend your passport/s; visa fees and processing fees; inoculations and vaccinations (if required); health certificate; airport taxes and country departure taxes (if applicable); all items of a personal nature including alcoholic beverages, meals not specified in the itinerary, any gratuities, excess baggage charges, cancellation, health, accident and baggage insurance, any transfers not specified in the itinerary, and any items not specifically listed as included.
PHOTOGRAPHY
AFRICAMINIATURETOURS reserves the right to take photographs during the operation of any program and to use resulting photographs for promotional purposes. Any tour passengers who prefer that their images not be used are asked to notify their tour escort at the beginning of the program.
